What a fun and exciting week we had! The weather was a bit gloomy but that didn’t hold us from having fun!!!
Week in review
This week we discussed with our pre friends about the up and coming Ethiopian New Year. We learned some new Ethiopian word like ‘Melkam Addis Amet’, ‘Enkutatashe’, ‘Doro wot’, ‘Tej’, ‘Ketema’ and so on! Please ask your child what they learned! We will be celebrating New Year Eve at school at 11 am on September 10 please make sure to mark your calendar as the students have been practicing the Abebayehushe traditional song!
What we are learning
It’s always fun and thrilling to go and explore in the science room. Where we analyzed where objects belong and where events happen in the immediate environment.
Our busy architects worked in teams to build huge castles buildings, and even followed a design sheet to create their own version. For our Math class we continued to create tricky and unique simple patterns with at least three repeats. Later on we lined up our transportation toys one after another.
The other team searched and explored various ways to write using shaving cream.
Reminders
We have changed our Music class from Wednesday to Thursday so please make sure to send your child in comfortable clothes and shoes.
We will be using acrylic paint for our class so please make to send your child in old clothing.
Please make sure to send extra clothes and shoes for our messy activities.
Please make sure to send boots and jackets for the rainy weather.
