Blog for Early Preschool And Preschool
Dear Little Einsteins Families,
Welcome back for the second semester! We are excited to welcome our students back .We hope you enjoyed your vacation with your family and friends and wish you all the best in the New Year!
What did we do this week ?
Literacy: we continued exploring the zoo phonics.
This week we were revising letters. We learned and tried to identify the letters.
that we have learnt before and share the letters to our friends by telling the letter sound and the action that the letters make. That helps us to learn much from one another.
Science: children enjoy spending most of their time outside. As well as the fact kids love the great outdoors, the fresh air works wonders for them, and outdoor activities keep them active. Gardening offers so many fun and interesting opportunities for children, and teaches them invaluable lessons.
It also offers an opportunity to learn about different shapes and colors, and different animals and insects they might come across.
Now the warmer weather has arrived, what better way to spend our time than enjoying gardening. We discussed more about gardening and shared ideas between how to plant a flower and much more .
After along interesting discussion we took a look around our play ground to look over the flowers, leaves and trees, that we have in our school. After observing, we started to feel the texture of the soil with our little hands and mold different shapes like donuts, ice cream and balls that was even more exciting.
Math: This week we were revising counting numbers and used the concept to count objects.
Here, for instance, we used counting numbers to determine the number of animals and blocks . And also show how we can use our fingers to count objects one to ten, even some of us went furthermore till two digit numbers. We start to match and count as well.
Art: we incorporated our art class with our science exploration, we had our first art project of this semester.
we chose a tissue roll from the big and small sized ones , and prepared a mud. We used the mud as a paint to paint the tissue roll to use it on our project.
We were all wondering how to use the mud as paint but the process and result was so surprising. After painting the tissue roll we put some glitter on it and it started to shine. We let it dry and we planned to finish our work on the coming art class. we are eager to keep on doing on our project to see the final look .
