Early Preschoolers After Christmas

Dear Parents,

We hope you had an amazing Christmas festive and experience another memorable holiday with your kids. We have been preparing our classroom in an inviting setup and give a harmonious start to our second semester. We had amazing week in early Preschool and Preschool we hope yours was great as well!

This month we moved 4 of our students to the next class Early Pre-K, Mitsuki, Alen, Solomon and Leul. We love and will definitely miss them so much and We hope they have a great time in the new class.

We have two friends who joined our class this week, Shishani and Riley

Large Group

In our large group we did various activities. We introduce them the new song, "How many fingers on one hand" they liked it so much then we read a book called " Let's get dressed " They told us who dressed them before coming to school. on our message board we had attendance, day of the week and weathers.

Music

This week for Music section they explored different musical instruments and then sang their favourite songs we all had a great time.

Math

In our Math session we counted the various tools in our classroom among them they counted our books, markers, wooden blocks, and then we opened a song that goes with the lesson," How many fingers on one hand" they were very engaged.

Library

In our Library we read them a book titled Biscuit. The story is about the things that Biscuit does before going to bed. The children were very attentive watching and listening to us and when we were done, they chose books to take home. We had a great time.

Art

In our Art section this week we made a collage. They individually glued buttons and beads of different colours and shapes to paper, then sprinkled glitter on them to make their work more Shine.

Literacy

This week for Literacy we did Zoo phonics. We did a to z with their sounds and actions of Zoo phonics. Then we gave them chance to choose the letter they like and to show us the sound and action of the letters.

Gymnastics

After warming up for a couple of minutes, we started our activity for the day, which was balancing their bodies. The activity was trying to walk on the balancing board by using tip toes.
