Dear parents,

What an incredible way to end the school year! This week, our Early Pre-K students celebrated Wonder Week, a special week filled with exciting themes, hands-on activities, creativity, exploration, and unforgettable memories. Throughout the week, the children participated in a variety of engaging experiences that encouraged curiosity, imagination, teamwork, and joyful learning. From exploring the wonders of the ocean and outer space to splashing in water play and celebrating friendships, the children embraced every moment with excitement and enthusiasm. We are delighted to share some of the highlights from our wonderful final week together!

Large Group

During large group time, the children enjoyed meaningful conversations as we reflected on our final week of school and introduced the exciting themes planned for Wonder Week. The children eagerly shared stories about their weekends, talked about their favorite school memories, and expressed their excitement for the special activities ahead. These discussions provided wonderful opportunities for the children to practice their speaking and listening skills while building confidence in sharing their ideas with their classmates.

As part of our daily routine, the children also reviewed the days of the week, months of the year, and practiced counting together. We sang many of our favorite classroom songs and enjoyed spending time together as a class community. The classroom was filled with laughter, participation, and thoughtful conversations as we celebrated our final week together.

Underwater & Solar System Day

This week, the children explored two exciting themes: the wonders of the ocean and the mysteries of outer space. During our underwater exploration, the class discussed different animals that live in the ocean and shared what they already knew about sea creatures and their habitats. The children were fascinated as they talked about fish, whales, sharks, and other marine animals while learning about the underwater world.

To bring the ocean theme to life, the children participated in a fun science experiment using baking soda, vinegar, and blue food coloring. As they combined the ingredients, they watched with amazement as the mixture fizzed, bubbled, and expanded like an underwater eruption. The children were excited to observe the reaction and eagerly discussed what they noticed throughout the experiment. This hands-on activity encouraged curiosity, observation skills, and scientific thinking while making learning both exciting and memorable.

As part of our Solar System exploration, the children learned about the sun, moon, stars, and the fascinating world beyond our planet. They discussed their favorite parts of space and shared ideas about what they might see in the sky. The children then created their own space-inspired artwork by drawing and cutting out their favorite celestial objects. Some chose to create suns, moons, and stars, while others drew larger scenes inspired by the solar system. This activity encouraged creativity while strengthening fine motor skills through drawing and cutting.

Pajama Fun Day

One of the coziest days of Wonder Week was Pajama Fun Day. The children came to school dressed in their favorite pajamas, creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere throughout the classroom. The day felt like a giant cozy gathering where everyone could relax, enjoy stories, and spend quality time together.

During our special reading session, the children listened to favorite stories and enjoyed sharing books with their classmates. The calm and comforting environment encouraged meaningful conversations and helped create a sense of safety, belonging, and togetherness. The children had a wonderful time enjoying this special day and making happy memories with their friends.

Water Fun Day

Water Fun Day was filled with excitement, laughter, and endless smiles. The children arrived ready for a day of splashing, playing, and cooling off with their friends. The outdoor area was transformed into a fun water play space complete with swimming pools, water activities, plastic balls, and plenty of opportunities for exploration and movement.

The children eagerly splashed water, played games, and enjoyed spending time together outdoors. Their laughter could be heard throughout the school as they made joyful memories with their classmates. This special day encouraged social interaction, cooperation, physical activity, and most importantly, lots of fun. It was wonderful to see the children fully engaged and enjoying every moment of the experience.

Little Einstein’s School Colors Day

As part of our Little Einstein’s School Colors Day, the children explored color mixing through a fun and creative hands-on activity. Using our school colors, the children created colorful handprint art while learning how different colors can combine to make new ones. They eagerly predicted what would happen when colors were mixed and excitedly observed the results for themselves.

The children especially enjoyed rubbing the paint between their hands and discovering the new colors that appeared. This engaging activity helped strengthen color recognition, observation skills, creativity, and scientific thinking while allowing the children to express themselves through art. The classroom was filled with excitement as each child proudly shared their colorful creations.

Celebration Day

To conclude our wonderful school year, the children participated in a special Celebration Day filled with games, music, laughter, and friendship. Throughout the day, the children enjoyed spending time together as they reflected on the many happy memories they created throughout the year.

One particularly meaningful activity involved creating postcards. The teachers prepared special postcards for each child, while the children also had the opportunity to create postcards for their friends. It was heartwarming to see them sharing kind messages and celebrating the friendships they had built throughout the year. The day was made even more special with songs, social time, treats, and plenty of smiles as we celebrated the end of an amazing year together.

As we conclude this school year, we would like to thank all of our families for your support, partnership, and encouragement. It has been a joy watching the children grow, learn, and develop throughout the year. We are so proud of all they have accomplished and wish each family a wonderful summer filled with happiness, adventure, and special memories.

And just like that, our Early Pre K chapter comes to an end. Thank you for a year filled with learning, laughter, friendship and unforgettable memories.
