How was the holiday? On our side it was very nice and restful.

What we did for large group

In the morning the weather was cold, so we started our large group by relaxing and stretching our body. After that we sang a song, we worked on our attendance, and did other exploration such as reading books. We read a book titled “Clifford’s animal sound" and "Say Please Little Bear”. The children were happy when we were reading these books. In one of the books there was a daddy bear and a little bear. The kids were excited to hear about daddy bear and little bear going to a party.

What we did for small group

· Math (opposite word)

· Language (What is in the box)

· Art (Feet stamp)

Math (opposite word); In our math lesson we learned about opposite words like; Big - small, Long - short, Empty - Full and Soft - hard. First, we sang a song titled "opposite". Following the song, we read a book about the opposite words. Then we used different items such as jars to show empty and full, balls to show big and small, yarn and bamboo to show long and short, rock to show hard and cotton to show soft. After that we let them explore those materials. The children were very engaged and active.

Language (what is in the box); This activity was to help the children develop their language skills. We prepared wrapped pretend fruit and vegetables for them to unwrap. Then all the wrapped fruit and vegetables were put in the box. The children picked out one wrapped pretend fruit or vegetable, opened it by themselves and told us what they got.

Art (Foot stamp); For our foot stamp activity, we used different colors, canvas, and play dough. This activity was fun but challenging at the same time. The children dipped their feet in color, then they stamped their feet on the canvas. Some of the children were able to print their feet easily but for some of them it was slippery. But overall, they had fun while learning.
