Dear Parents,
What a short week! Even though the week is too short, we learned, played, and shared our ideas! We hope you enjoyed your week as much as we did.
LARGE GROUP
Calendar
Making the calendar is one of our large group activity. We spell the month and days of the week and adjust the date and day. Currently, we are reading and spelling the new month May and the days of the week by singing song.
Feeding the Caterpillar
Our caterpillar is growing fast and the change is visible every day. The growth of our Hungry caterpillar shows us that we have been together for long days and be best friends. It hits 158th day of the school with joyful and exiting days together still counting.
Message board
Our message board includes making attendance by writing our name turn by turn on the white board, reading sight words and answering the question of the day. Through these activities, the children are exposed to writing, participating and speaking.
SMALL GROUP
Literacy
In our Literacy session, we planned to do writing activity but because of the absence of ten friends of us, we did revision on the cvc word we have learnt before. The children were given a wooden material that has cvc words and let them create cvc words. They created cvc words like mat, bat, pen, hot.
Mathematics
Measuring with ruler was the topic in our math session. All the children chose to measure classroom materials like tissue box, pencils, speaker and so on.
“The speaker is 5cm.”
“The tissue box is 17cm.”
“This pencil is 12cm.”
Football
The day we were waiting for is approaching! All our little friends keep training the football! having the blue jersey for the match made the children very excited!
Work time
During our work time, we had dance class with our dance teacher and art with our Art teacher! Plus, we went to the maker space to continue our project on making big transformer.

Reminder!
We seem to have rainy days quite often than expected. We kindly ask you to send your child with rainy day outfits so we can make the most out of our time at school.
On our Art days try to send the children with Art friendly clothing.
Do not forget to return Library folders every Friday.
