Large Group

This week, our learning focused on preparing for our Family Day project. During our large group time, we shared our morning experiences, talked about breakfast, sang our good Morning song, discussed the weather and days of the week, took attendance, and practiced our phonics letters. We also discussed Family Day and invited the children to share their ideas.

Math

During our math activity, the children continued exploring our family graph. They counted their family members, matched the numbers on the chart, and proudly shared their findings with their friends.

Art

For our preschool book project, each child received half a sheet of chart paper and explored different painting techniques using their favorite colors, sponges, leaves, and fingerprints. They experimented with colors and created their own unique pages. We left the painted pages to dry, and the following day, the children used their family pictures as references to create their own family portraits. They then added their family portraits and selected pictures of their favorite family foods and activities to their pages. Each child made their own choices and independently arranged and attached the pictures they wanted to include.

Finally, the children created a colorful book cover using their favorite paint colors and handprints. Once everything was ready, we arranged the pages, punched two holes, and tied them together with yarn to complete our preschool book. The children were excited to see their finished work and proudly shared their family portraits with their friends. We are so proud of their creativity, confidence, and participation throughout this journey.
