Dear Parents,

We are so happy to welcome your child to their first year with us! It’s been such a joy to see their smiling faces each day  we truly missed having them around.

The children are growing so quickly, and their excitement about coming to school, meeting their teachers, and reconnecting with friends has been wonderful to witness. Over the past two weeks, we’ve been helping them settle into our daily routine. They’ve been exploring the classroom, engaging with materials, and enjoying time on the playground.

Large Group Time

During the first two weeks, our large group time has been a joyful and engaging part of our daily routine. We begin each session by singing our cheerful “Good Morning” song and greeting one another with friendly waves. The children then have a chance to choose their favorite songs, and so far, “Baby Shark” and “The Wheels on the Bus” have been the clear favorites! We also enjoyed reading the Bead Time book together, followed by a fun dance session to the “Freeze” song. It’s been wonderful to see how happy and excited the children are during large group time. They are already recognizing the routine and remembering what comes next — a great sign of their growing comfort and confidence in our classroom.

Music

Music class has been full of energy and excitement these past two weeks! We begin by placing a variety of musical instruments in the center of our circle. Each child is then given a turn to choose their favorite instrument, one at a time. Once everyone has made their selection, we play some lively music and the children begin to explore the sounds and rhythms. It’s been wonderful to see how engaged and curious they are. Many of them enjoyed switching instruments with their friends and practicing sharing. The joy on their faces as they made music together was priceless! We’re so proud of how they are learning to listen, take turns, and express themselves through music.

Gymnastics Class

Our gymnastics class has been a fun and active part of our weekly routine! We begin each session with a warm-up, including light jogging and moving our bodies to get ready. After warming up, we move into stretching activities to help the children build flexibility and body awareness. The children have been very excited to participate. They listened carefully, followed the teachers’ instructions, and tried their best to copy each movement. It was wonderful to see their focus and enthusiasm as they stretched, moved, and smiled throughout the class. We're so proud of how they are growing stronger and more confident each day!

Literacy & Language

Our literacy and language activities have been filled with curiosity, learning, and fun! During one of our sessions, we focused on puzzles as a way to build language and thinking skills. We placed a variety of puzzles in the center of our circle, and each child was given a chance to choose their favorite one. As the children worked on fixing the puzzles, they excitedly named the animals, made the corresponding animal sounds, and identified fruits and vegetables. Some even pretended to eat the food pieces adding creativity to their play! It was heartwarming to see them helping each other, sharing pieces, and using rich vocabulary during the activity. These moments show how play can be a powerful tool for language development and social growth.

Math Class

In our math class, we’ve been exploring early math concepts through hands-on play. One of the activities the children really enjoyed was our filling and dumping activity. We began by placing colorful rice in a large sensory bin and added cups of different sizes for the children to explore. The children were excited to dive in! They began filling and dumping the rice using the cups, discovering ideas like more and less, empty and full, and comparing sizes. Through this simple yet engaging activity, they practiced important math and motor skills while having lots of fun. It was wonderful to see their focus, cooperation, and curiosity in action!
