Dear parents,

We hope this blog finds you well! We are excited to share what has been happening in the Infants and Toddlers class over the past two weeks. We hope you enjoy seeing the learning, play, and growth taking place every day.

Large Group

Our most recent large group sessions went very well. We started by saying “good morning” and greeting each child by name. The children repeated and said “good morning” back. After that, we moved to attendance, where the children happily took their own picture and placed it on the board. Then we gave them a chance to choose their favorite song, and they chose “Baba Black Sheep,” which is always one of their favorite songs. We sang together, and the children followed the directions beautifully. After singing, we counted the numbers as a group. At the end, everyone stood up and enjoyed a fun dance together.

Gymnastic

Gymnastics has been active and exciting lately in the Infants and Toddlers class! We held our activities outside, which the children really enjoyed. We started with a warm-up activity to get their bodies ready and active. After that, we practiced going up and down stairs. The children took turns and climbed the stairs one at a time, learning to wait patiently for their turn. They were very excited and engaged in the activity. Throughout the session, the children showed great focus and confidence while moving carefully and safely. It was a fun and active experience for everyone.

Literacy and Language

Our most recent literacy and language activity was a delight! We started by hiding pieces of dry macaroni inside a pile of flour. After preparing everything, we took the activity outside and explained to the children what they would be doing. We showed them how to search for the macaroni and how to explore the flour using their hands. Then, the children began the activity! They took turns finding the hidden macaroni and placing them on their plates. They also practiced counting the pieces they found. The children enjoyed interacting with their friends, helping each other, and sharing the materials. They were very excited, fully engaged, and the activity went very well!

Art

During our art session,  we started by painting the background of a canvas black. The children enjoyed brushing the paint and covering the whole surface. After the background dried, we prepared different colors of paint and various shapes such as triangles, circles, and squares in different sizes. The children then chose their favorite color of paint and their preferred shape. They dipped the shape into the paint and stamped it onto the canvas. They were excited to see the shapes appear and enjoyed creating their own designs. It was a fun, creative, and engaging art experience for everyone!

Science

Our recent science session was an exciting milking activity! We placed a picture of a cow on a chair and prepared the materials, including a glove filled with “milk”. We then explained the activity to the children and demonstrated how to do it. The children took turns participating. They squeezed the glove to simulate milking and collected the “milk” into cups and plates. They were very excited, engaged, and focused throughout the activity. It was a fun and hands-on science experience for them.

Math

In math, we repeated last week’s number matching activity, and the children were very excited to do it again! This time, they did even better. They were able to match the numbers correctly and showed that they recognized and remembered the activity. Overall, the children were focused, engaged, and enjoyed the session.
