Dear Parents,

We hope this blog finds you well. This is the final blog of the academic year, and what an amazing year it has been. Our students have made new friends, built confidence, developed new skills, and learned through meaningful play every day.

As teachers, we are incredibly proud of each and every student and all of their achievements, big and small. They have shown remarkable growth and progress throughout the year, and it has been a joy to watch them learn, explore, and strive.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. We wish you and your families a happy, safe, and wonderful summer. Read on for more details of a a very fun week….

Under the Water/ Solar System Day

On our first ever Under the Water/Solar System Day, our Pre-K students wore blue shirts and animal-themed clothing. Some also wore shirts with solar system images, including planets and rocket ships. We had so much fun watching everyone come to school dressed in a unique way, inspired by one of our favorite learning topics this year!

For our activities, the day before we prepared ice with small animal figures inside. We placed the ice in the fridge overnight in blue-colored water. Then, we gave each student an ice block. They used hammers to break the ice and find the animal inside. After they found the animal, they named it.

We worked in two groups, and each group had a turn while the other group waited. While they waited, they drew their favorite solar system planet and a rocket ship. After they finished, we swapped groups and did the same activities again. This day was also fun-filled and memorable.

Pajama day

Pajama Day was filled with excitement! Everyone in the Pre-K class wore their own pajamas, and some students even brought their favorite toy from bedtime at home.

In class, we read a book together and also read individually. Then, we discussed the activities we do at night and when we put on our pajamas.

Next, we gave each student a printed picture of pajamas. They colored it using the same colors and patterns as their own pajamas. We also sang a bedtime song.

Mismatch/ inside out day

On Mismatch Day/Inside Out Day, every student in our class wore a different mismatched outfit. It was beyond entertaining for all! They wore different socks, shoes, T-shirts, and pants, and many of them wore their clothes inside out (with the back coming to the front). It was an amazing, creative way to dress up.

Everyone had a blast showing their outfits and checking out what their friends wore. In the afternoon, we made the day even more exciting by doing a science experiment. We blew up a balloon using baking soda and vinegar. First, each group took turns pouring vinegar into a bottle and baking soda into the balloon. Then, they flipped the balloon onto the bottle and watched the reaction blow the balloon up. It was an exciting and very fun activity.

Little Einsteins Colors Day

Little Einsteins Color day was all about school spirit! Our students and teachers wore blue, white, and red. Everyone chose one (or more) of these colors to wear, and it was a beautiful way to see our students dressed in a shared theme. For our activities, we provided each student with a new white shirt. Everyone wrote and drew something on their shirt. One student’s shirt included different students’ drawings, writing, and coloring. Then, they received a shirt to take home with them as a special keepsake. It was a beautifully emotional moment to see!

Thank you for a great year!
