Kindergarten Weekly News!

As a teacher, making sure my students feel loved is important. In my mind, it is another item to check off on my list of standards that they need to learn. It’s also important that they feel respected and know their thoughts and contributions to class matters. We discussed how we could express our ideas and emotions to work together. With this motto our journal class started off with huge energy! Children had the opportunity to document their creative journey, accept and reject comments, researched variuos topics and

"This is me and I was outside when it was raining. I was holding a flower and then a scary dog spilled fire at me. dont worry Im fine! its only pretend dog and my daddy took care of it!"

"This is an Aeroplane but the pilot is not good, so the plane hit the ground going boom! But everyone is ok!"

What we are learning!

We were busy entomologists this week for our science class. We sat down to review what an entomologist does and found out that they have many important jobs, such as the study of the classification, life cycle, distribution, physiology, behavior, ecology and population of insects.

We also enjoyed cooking muffins with our pre-k friends! We made carrot and bannana muffin. I will be posting pictures next week, stay tuned!
