Blog for Early pre school and Preschool

Greeting parents!!

This week was a week that was filled with so much excitement! Due to 100 days at school. We were having fun with our friends by having a tasty snack and taking a photo with friends that makes our day to become more memorable!!

What happened in this week?

Literacy: Children draw to express what they are feeling and thinking. Drawing is an especially important outlet for children who do not yet have the verbal skills to communicate their feelings. And this class is letting us to know more about our kids what they like and what they are interest in. We were having journal this week we discuss and let them draw their stories on their journal book. That was such an enjoyable class to share stories to our class.

Science: Our science class is getting more experimental. We continue learning about gardening. We were discussing about what seed is and where to find it?

"We will find it from the garden"

“We might get it from shop."

We were having a nice discussion with our student’s. After the long discussion we gave them watermelon to eat and explore the seed inside. Our students were very excited to see and pick out seeds from the watermelon. They were even counting and comparing the seed they got with each other. After our class while they were having their snacks, they were searching seeds in their fruit that they have.

"Where is the seed in my banana?"

"Look I got this seed from my orange”

Math: Counting and matching was the focus on our math class. This activity is great for working on our students understand of one-to-one correspondence (the idea that each object counted corresponds to one and only one number). This activity can also help build a child's sense of number, which will help when they engage in mental math. So, our students were taking turns to count their friends in the class, and they were engaged by counting their fingers. And we were counting and matching woods with the flash cards. They all did a great Job.

"I only have five fingers on my hands, but together with the other it will be ten"
