Our Christmas Themed Kindergarten Week Blog!!
Dear Parents,
Hello, how was your week? Ours was fun, Christmas is around the corner. And we are having a good time at school having ideas of how to decorate our class room and school compound.
Large group
For our large group session, we started by singing the good morning song. Blue was our color for this week as well as the Rhombus was our shape for the whole week. Participating in the circle time calendar activity strengthened our time management skills, and sharing about our days allowed us to connect with one another. It was a week filled with learning, being respectful, creativity, and friendship.
Monday
This week for our literacy lesson we did sight word hunting by reading the passage and circling out the correct words from the passage and they were happy about the activity as well and did a really good job.
Tuesday
We were coloring some Christmas tree, all the kids were happy and focused to make their Christmas tree look good and were asking for a specific color to make their tree look nice and they all did amazing and what matters more was them having fun, and we were happy to see them sharing colors to one another and asking their friends if they need more color to decorate their Christmas tree.
Wednesday
This day what we made was snowflakes, because the kids were asking us about snowflakes and were saying in Ethiopia there is no snow, so we shall make snow cutting out white papers. We took that idea from the kids and we printed out some snowflakes and gave it to them so they could cut them out and they all did really great and were asking to have more snowflakes so they could cut and decorate them using glue and make it sparkle using glitter.

Thursday
On this day we made a Christmas tree using green and red papers which was a really amazing experience that we shared with the kids. They started cutting out their square paper in to shape of Christmas tree and they were all focused and excited to see the outcome and busy on their own way of decorating their tree and decorating them and what they all did was really great, and seeing the kids have fun while doing the activity is such a joyful moment for us.

Friday
for Friday we did a Christmas tree light which was so fun and engaging for the kids they were all happy to make their own light and were having fun while decorating their light.

Reminder
- Every Wednesday is our library day, so we will be sending a book that your child picked from our library, which will be returned after a week on library day.
- Every Wednesday we have Football, so please send your child with football appropriate clothing.
-Every Thursday we have art, so please send your child with art appropriate clothing.
