Infants,Toddlers and Transional Toddlers
Dear Parents,
Hope you had a relaxed fall break! All the staff was on a training on Monday and Tuesday. We had a wonderful week at Little Einsteins. Had a lot of fun and happy to be back after the fall break.
Large group
After we did our atendance list we start with the 'Hello song' and sang ‘Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes ‘. Our finger play was ’ One Two’. We also read a book called ‘Where is Baby’s Belly Button?’. When we read the book the children were very interested to find the baby’s different body parts and they also imitated and pointed their own body parts and the children really did an amazing job.
Small Group
This week we had Music, Art, Mirror fun, Body puzzle and Baby bath for small group exploration.
For Mirror fun our focus was ‘Understanding and knowing the body parts'. The children were very excited to see their face on the mirror and talk about their body parts they said “Eye”, “Nose”, “Head”, “Tooth ”, “Lips”, “Hair” and “Ears”. We also encourage them to blink their Eyes, Move eyebrows Up and Down, Pull Ears, Stick out Tounge and move Eyes up and down. The children were having a lot of fun in the learning process.
For Music and Movement we explored with different musical instruments and follow the beat. We used a Drums, Shakers, Tambourine, Xylophone, Ipod and speaker. The children enjoyed a lot and tried to keep the beat with the music.
Next Week plan
We still have the same Theme, which is 'All about me'. We are going to change the activities to be bit challenging inorder to help the children to understand, learn and know more about our body parts.
