Early Pre-k This Week
Dear parents,
We hope this week’s blog finds you well! As we spent an amazing week in early pre-k class.
Large group: This week in our large group we introduced a new 3D shape which is the ‘Sphere’. We also learnt about a new number ‘15’ and a new sound ‘J’. For our morning conversations and activities, we shared about how we spent our last weekend, counted the number of boys and girls and made a graph for it and made a simple pattern “Sphere, cylinder, sphere, cylinder”.

Math: For our graphing topic this week the children worked in small team to sort some colors and shapes then write the numbers. Also, they compared which group has more and which has less.
Cooperative game: Our cooperative game this week was one of the kids’ favorite games which is the “Mr. Wolf”. In this game the kids take turns to be the wolf while holding a clock and changing the time until their friends reach them and at that point it will be the lunch time for the wolf!

Literacy: This week for our literacy class we learnt about the rhyming words that end with ‘an’ such as “Man, tan, pan, van”.

Library: Our story book title this week is “Tip the Mouse Doesn’t Want to Sleep”. The children loved the story and they also shared their experience of their bed routine.

Art: This week we went back to our canvas’ projects! And this time the children chose to make flowers on the canvas so, we started by painting the background with the white color and will finish this canvas next week.

Gymnastics: Today we started our session with running and jumping on one and two feet. Our game for this week helped us to stretch all of our body muscles which was moving one ball from one hula hoop to the other.
