Another Fruitful Week In Kindergarten!!

Dear parents

We had an amazing week filled with laughter and fun. We hope you had an amazing week too!!

Large group

For our large group session, we started by singing the good morning song. Yellow was our color for this week as well as star was our shape for the whole week. Participating in the circle time Calendar activity helped us increase our time management skills, and sharing our days allowed us to connect with one another. We had also started reading a book called “I spy with my little eye.” and it is such an amazing book that they have already started to eagerly wait for the next page. It was a week filled with learning and being respectful and friendly.

This week for our literacy session we have been doing Blending words, and the kids are now getting better and better reading words which will help them to read books on their own and they are enjoying the blending words, while the other kids were doing CVC word using the word ‘at’ all the kids were engaged in both the activities and had a productive literacy session.

-      “Ya we have homework today” Haon.

-      “We cut and paste the picture” Andre

Our math session was a really engaging and fun session this week, which was measurement this time for the measurement concept we did ‘height’ for the past week we have been doing different measurement categories, all the kids were excited to see their height and be measured with one another and were eager to see who is the tallest in our classroom. We had an amazing math week.

-      “Abigail is almost like me?” Haon

-      “Me and Frankie not same?” Kevin

We all love our journal session, because it shows us our kids' ideas and creativity level more and their area of interest. They also enjoy putting their ideas on paper and likes to give explanation about their work to their friends.

This week our science session was a really amazing session we have started to discuss and know about our  solar system all the kids were happy to start the lesson because they have been doing spaceship and rocket through our large group session using the bristle lock that we have in our classroom and from that stand we knew our kids have an interest for the solar system and started the lesson and all the kids were participating and shared the knowledge they have about solar system and they were happy to know the names of the planets and now all of them have their own favorite planet. We were also talking about how long a person can survive on planets without the spaceship suit.

-      “I love Jupiter because it is large.” Haon

-       “It is fast your head will spine if you go there” Yazeed

-      “I love Saturn” Kevin

-      “We live here?” Ruut

This week for our Art session we have started our second canvas which is a Butterfly. The kids were having fun while painting the background for the butterfly which is Blue and Green. We were also discussing why they wanted to paint the background blue and green and they said Blue for the sky and green, butterflies like flowers so to draw flowers we need a grass area.
