Dear parents,

This week was amazing! Our children are getting used to the routine and showing great progress. We enjoyed fun activities that supported their learning, social skills, and creativity. It’s wonderful to see them grow each day!

Large Group

Our recent large group sessions have been wonderful! We usually begin with the Good Morning song, which sets a cheerful tone for the day. After that, we had a discussion about when to say “sorry” and “thank you,” helping children understand the importance of kindness and manners. We then took attendance together, where the children actively participated by identifying their friends and recognizing their own pictures. To wrap up, we read the book “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?” which the children really enjoyed—it was engaging and fun!

Literacy

In our literacy session, we started with a puzzle activity. The children worked on putting together the puzzles piece by piece, which supported their problem-solving skills, concentration, and fine motor development. It was a great way to build their confidence and teamwork while introducing literacy concepts in a playful way.

Math

In our math activity, we explored the concept of empty and full by filling cups with rice. The children enjoyed scooping, pouring, and transferring rice into the cups, which helped them visually understand the difference between the two concepts. It was also a wonderful opportunity to observe and strengthen their fine motor skills, hand–eye coordination, and focus.

The activity encouraged turn-taking, sharing of materials, and problem-solving as they figured out how much rice was needed to fill a cup. Some children even began comparing which cups were fuller or emptier, which showed their growing sense of measurement and comparison. Overall, it was an engaging, hands-on experience that combined early math learning with sensory play.

Library

Our class has been having an amazing time during our library sessions! The children enjoyed exploring different books and showing great interest in reading. They sat together with their friends, shared stories, and even talked about the things they already knew from the pictures and words in the books. It was wonderful to see how excited they were to read and how confidently they expressed their ideas. After we finished reading together, each child had the opportunity to choose a book of their own and take it home to enjoy with their family. This activity not only builds their literacy skills but also helps nurture a lifelong love for reading.

Gymnastics

During our gymnastics session, the children practiced walking on the balance beam. This activity was not only exciting but also a great way to observe their level of gross motor skill development, balance, and coordination. The children showed focus and determination as they carefully placed one foot in front of the other. Some moved with confidence, while others took their time, showing persistence and courage. This exercise also helped build their concentration, body awareness, and self-confidence. It was wonderful to see their progress and enthusiasm while engaging in such a fun and skill-building activity.
