Dear parents,

We are so happy to share our amazing and exciting two weeks together with you! The children enjoyed a variety of fun activities, and they were full of smiles, laughter, and curiosity every day. It was wonderful to see how excited and happy they were as they explored, played, and learned new things. We are proud to let you know that the children are doing really well and continuing to grow beautifully. Thank you for your support, as we create joyful learning experiences for them. Read on to hear more details…

Large group

Over the past two weeks, our large group time has been full of joyful learning. We always began by singing the “Good Morning” Song. The children happily waved their hands and called their friends’ names while saying “Good morning”. After that, we sang two of the children’s favorite songs—The Wheels on the Bus and One Little Finger. These songs always brought big smiles and lots of energy!

Next, we went through our attendance routine. Each child took their picture and happily placed it on the happy face. They were so excited to see their own picture smiling proudly as they stuck it in place. Then together, we counted how many friends were present and how many were not. The children also practiced counting numbers from 1 up to 10. We then read the storybook “Biscuit”. The children listened carefully and enjoyed the story very much. After story time, they worked together to put the pillows in one corner. Finally, we ended with dancing to the “Freeze Song”, which the children absolutely loved it was a fun way to finish our group time full of movement and laughter.

Library

During our library session, we began by talking with the children about how to read a book. We explained and showed them how to hold the book properly, how to turn the pages carefully, and how to look at the front and back covers. After that, the children had the chance to choose a book from the bookshelf. They were very excited to pick their own book! Once everyone had chosen, we all sat together and started reading. The children enjoyed exploring the pictures and listening to the stories.

Gymnastics

In our gymnastics class, we focused on a fun running activity. We noticed that the children love to run during recess time, often calling their friends and starting to run together. We decided to bring this interest into our small group activity. Before running, the children asked a teacher to count for them. When the teacher counted “1, 2, 3,” they all started to run with so much excitement and energy. They quickly understood the activity when we explained it, and they joined in happily. The children were so engaged and didn’t want to stop! Since they were enjoying themselves so much, we added 10 extra minutes to the activity before cleanup time. It was wonderful to see their joy, teamwork, and enthusiasm throughout the session.

Literacy and Language

For our literacy and language activity, we combined fine motor practice with creative play. We decided to do this activity outside, so we laid out a mat and gathered together in the fresh air. The children made bracelets using colorful macaroni and pipe cleaners. Before starting, we talked about the different colors, showing them the bright macaroni and the colorful pipe cleaners.

This gave the children a chance to name and recognize colors while practicing new words. Then, we showed them step by step how to thread the macaroni onto the pipe cleaners. The children watched carefully, and soon they were trying on their own. This activity not only supported their language skills but also strengthened their fine motor development as they used their fingers to thread.

Art

During our art class, the children explored a delightful balloon stamping activity. We prepared different colors of paint and first explained to the children how to do the activity. We also talked about the colors and sang a color song together to make it even more engaging. The children participated one at a time. Each child chose their favorite color, dipped the balloon into the paint, and then started stamping it onto the paper. They were excited to see the colorful shapes and patterns they created.

Science

During our science activity, we explored the sense through a practical activity- putting shaving cream on our light box. First, the children waited patiently for their turn. Then, we put the shaving cream on the light box, and they started to explore. Our students were thoroughly enthused and enjoyed touching, mixing, and describing what they saw. They communicated their ideas clearly and even gave each other high fives with the shaving cream. After we finished, the children helped clean the light box with towels. They were very happy and engaged throughout the activity.
