Dear Parents,
We hope this blog finds you well. Here in our Early Preschool class, we’ve had a wonderful week filled with fun, learning, and joyful moments. The children explored, created, and shared a variety of exciting experiences together, and we are so proud of their curiosity and growth.
We invite you to enjoy reading this week’s blog and to see the beautiful moments your little ones experienced with us.
Large Group
Our large group time was filled with positive energy and enthusiasm. We began by greeting one another and asking the children about their morning routines.
Next, we sang our cheerful “Good Morning” song together, filling the room with smiles and excitement. We then took attendance and discussed the weather. One student was chosen to place the correct weather picture on the board each day, which helped them feel proud and actively involved.
Science: Blue Animal Hunt
Our science session was an exciting hands-on learning experience where the children participated in a Blue Animal Hunt activity. We prepared a water-filled container and placed different small toy animals inside, including animals of various colors. The main goal of the activity was to identify and hunt the blue animals using a spoon.
Before starting, we introduced the materials and explained the activity to the children. They were very curious and eager to explore. One by one, the children took turns using the spoon to carefully scoop the animals from the water. This encouraged patience, taking turns, and focus throughout the activity.
Through this experiment, our students practiced color recognition by identifying blue animals, while also developing fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination as they carefully controlled the spoon. The activity also supported early science concepts, such as observing how objects move in water and understanding cause and effect.
The children were fully engaged, showing excitement and joy as they searched, scooped, and proudly showed the animals they found. This activity created a playful learning environment that encouraged curiosity, exploration, and confidence.
Art: Painting with Cars and Blue Paint!
Our art session was a fun and creative experience where the children explored painting in a new and exciting way. For this activity, we placed blue paint on paper and provided toy cars for the children to use as painting tools. Instead of using brushes, the children drove the cars through the paint, creating colorful tracks and patterns on the paper.
Before starting, we introduced the materials and demonstrated how to dip the cars into the blue paint and move them across the paper. The children were very excited and curious to see the marks the cars made. As they drove the cars, they observed the different lines, shapes, and textures formed on the paper.
This activity supported the development of fine motor skills, hand–eye coordination, and creativity. It also encouraged sensory exploration as the children touched, moved, and experimented with the paint. Using cars made the activity engaging and helped the children express themselves freely through art.
The children enjoyed the process, showing happiness and pride in their artwork. Each painting was unique, reflecting the child’s imagination and exploration. Overall, it was a joyful art session that combined creativity and movement!
Gymnastics Activity: Shapes, Colors, and Movement
Our gymnastics session was an energetic and engaging experience that combined physical movement with kinesthetic learning. To begin the session, we arranged different shapes on the floor, including circles, squares, and triangles, creating a fun movement path for the children. Before starting the main activity, we led the children through warm-up exercises such as stretching and simple body movements to prepare their muscles and help prevent injury.
Once warmed up, the children were invited to walk along the shapes on the floor while holding a ball. As they moved carefully from one shape to another, they practiced balance, coordination, and body control. At the end of the path, the children placed the ball into a box, which encouraged focus and task completion.
Throughout the activity, we asked the children questions such as “what color is your ball?” and “which shape are you walking on?” This helped strengthen their color and shape recognition, language development, and confidence in communication. The children were very excited to answer, follow instructions, and participate actively.
This gymnastics session supported the development of gross motor skills, spatial awareness, and listening skills. It also encouraged turn-taking, patience, and teamwork as the children waited for their turn and cheered for their friends. Most importantly, the session created a positive and enjoyable environment where learning and movement came together.
