Dear Parents,
We hope you have had a lovely week! This week in preschool was filled with fun, learning, and laughter. Our students were busy exploring, discovering, and enjoying every moment. Please enjoy reading about our weekly activities and take a look at the beautiful pictures of your little ones in action.
Large Group
Each morning, our large group gathers together to start the day. We begin by talking about how our morning is going, which gives everyone a chance to share and connect. Then, we sing our cheerful "Good Morning" song, creating a happy and welcoming atmosphere. After that, we take attendance and discuss the weather and days of the week. The students are always engaged and excited to participate. It's a wonderful way to build routine, strengthen community, and start the day on a positive note!
Small Group
Art
In our recent art session, we had a blast with a colorful handprint activity! We started by helping the students put on their art smocks to keep their clothes clean. Then, we gave each child their favorite paint color and a sheet of white paper. The students dipped their hands into the paint and pressed them onto the paper to create their own unique handprint art. It got a little messy, but everyone had so much fun! To finish off, we proudly displayed their beautiful artwork around the classroom. It was a joyful and creative experience that the students truly enjoyed!
Music
In our music session, we sang a variety of songs with our students, including "How Many Fingers?”, "Five Little Monkeys", and other favorites chosen by the children and guided by our music teacher. The students were very happy and excited to join in. They sang along, followed directions, and participated actively with big smiles on their faces. It was a joyful and engaging time for everyone!
Math
In our math session, we had a fun and interactive activity all about counting body parts! We started by asking the students to name different parts of their body like eyes, nose, fingers, legs, toes, head, ears, mouth, and hands. Then, we counted each body part together as a class. Each student also got a chance to count their favorite body part aloud, which made the session even more exciting (for example 2 ears, 5 fingers, and so on). To make learning more fun, we sang songs about counting body parts. We also used mirrors so students could see their faces while counting eyes, nose, ears, and mouth. It was a great way to combine math with body awareness! The students really enjoyed the session, and it was a wonderful way to learn numbers in a fun and meaningful way.
Literacy
Our recent literacy session was filled with creativity and joy! We started by giving each student their own journal book and their favorite crayons. The excitement on their faces was priceless. The children began by drawing anything they liked. Some drew their families, others drew nature, animals, or their favorite places. After finishing their artwork, each student took turns explaining what they had drawn. It was wonderful to hear their ideas and see their imagination come to life. It was truly a fun and meaningful time, helping the children express themselves and build their language skills in a creative way!
