Blog for pre K and Kindergarten

Dear parents,

We had a nice week, and we hope you had a fun week too!

Our large group session was fun, productive, and exciting. We did our calendar on

our caterpillar, and it hits 49th day of school this Friday. Dancing and singing and

reading are our loved activities we do every day. We practiced how to write our

names in a fun and engaging way. Some friends tried to write their full name, and

some wrote only the beginning letter of their name by matching it with the sounds of letters they know.

Letter Formation

We have been focusing on the sound of letters Aa, Bb, Cc, Dd, Ee, Ff, Gg and Hh.

The PreK colored pictures starting with letter Cc whereas the kindergarten colored pictures starting with letter Cc in addition they wrote the names of the pictures like Cat, Car, Cup…with the help of their teachers. Both groups were engaged and tried their best!

Counting and writing numbers

The PreK did counting till number 20 and wrote numbers 1 to 5.

The kindergarten counted to 50 and did a worksheet on finding the missing numbers 1 up to 20.

Obstacle course

Obstacle course develops child’s strength and enhances their sense of balance and gets them a full body work out, this week we had fun playing obstacle course like skipping with one leg on a straight line and holding a balloon on a newspaper. All our friends were participating actively!

Science

We Continued talking about the topic ‘All about me’ from external part of our body to internal part of body. We discussed about our internal part of our body altogether. The first question was “What’s inside our body?”

“There is air”

After having a discussion, we explored with the human body system with the help of a human body model from our science class. We were so interested to see what our inside looks like, It was really a good experience for us!
