Here Comes Our Weekly Blog

Dear Parents,

Hello, we had a fun and exciting week. The children were learning through fun and exciting ways of knowing our addition, consonant and vowel letters.

Quick Reminder

Next Week starting from October 16-20 school will be closed for fall break.

Large group

For our large group session, we started by singing the good morning song, explored the color blue, participating in the circle time calendar activity strengthened our time management skills, sharing about our days allowed us to connect with one another. It was a week filled with learning, creativity, and friendship. ‘When the mouse went to the movies’ was a book that they were happy to hear about. The class was also asking “How does a mouse go to a movie?“

Small group

This week for our literacy session we did the consonant and vowel letters while doing we had Hands-on activities that involves sorting and hunting for letters. It was an excellent way to help children develop their letter recognition skills. They were also saying that it is a nice game and were also busy sorting the vowels and the consonants in their own separate boxes. It was fun and engaging activity.

- Matteo “Now it's level five to go hunting letters”

- Haon “ I want to do more vowel”

In our math session we worked on Addition. We used a box to add numbers to make the addition more interactive and hands-on. We also did this activity as a team to develop our team work ability. We are so proud to witness our kindergartners helping each other to solve the problems together.

- Andre “You put 10 now I put 10”

- Kevin “Yazeed what number this?”

This week for our gymnastics class we did flipping over and backwards. Not only our class enjoyed the activity but also enjoyed jumping up and down without a rope while staying at one place and tried with all their best to make a balance.

For our science activity we did fireworks which were exciting and engaging for our class! Using oil, water, and food coloring that has been excellent way to demonstrate scientific concepts related to density and chemical reactions, we paired our class together for this activity which helped us promote teamwork and collaboration, which are essential skills for their social and emotional development.

- Frankie “I will put yellow first red is strong color.”

- Matteo “ I love this fire thing.”

- Haon “ Micheal first and me second.”

This week our journal was filled with the stories that our amazing kids told us as they try to put it in picture and also they used their imagination perfectly which really amazed us!! This also helped us create a positive learning environment which fosters creativity and self-expression.

- Vavra “This is Vavra.”
