Our Kindergarten Blog This Week!!

Hello dear parents,

How was your week? Our week was filled with learning, laughter and also sharing and caring for one another.

Large group

For our large group session, we started by singing the good morning song. Purple was our color for this week as well as rectangle was our shape for the whole week. We were also discussing our maker space ideas and also how we are going to be able to use recycled materials to create the things we want, and we were really amazed by their ideas. They all had an idea to share. Participating in the circle time Calendar activity strengthened our time management skills, and sharing our days allowed us to connect with one another. It was a week filled with learning and being respectful and friendly. 

Literacy

This week for our literacy session we did the zoo-phonics because all the kids were excited and happy to see the zoo phonics in the classroom and were asking if we will all be doing it together and they had fun while doing the zoo phonics as well as enjoyed calling out the alphabets one by one, and also we have discussed about the hard worker alphabets.

Math

For our math session this week, we did the more and less concept by using the greater than and less than sign as well as the equal to sign ,since we have divided the class in to two we were also doing number sorting by giving them different materials to sort out as well as by giving them number worksheets to be able to count the numbers and circle the correct one, all the kids were engaged as well as having fun while doing the activity.

Football

This week also the football went really  amazing. They have developed a sense of togetherness and teamwork.

 Journal

For the journal session the kids have been doing what they have in their heart as well as mind and seeing them focused doing their own thing is amazing and great as they always do. They have been engaged in the journal session; they were calm and focused on their work.

Science

For our science session we have been revising and discussing about plants and also did some worksheets to see if they have recalled what we talked about last time and they all have cut and pasted the part of flowers in their correct place, we were really amazed and happy to see them doing their worksheets, they were also developing their fine motor skill by cutting out and pasting them.

Art

This week for our art session we practice for what the kids will be doing in their canvas, and the outcome was really amazing. The kids remember what they have planned and to see them bring their ideas on paper is really a great thing to witness, all their creativity has been seen in their artwork.

Reminder

-  Every Wednesday is our library day, so we will be sending a book that your child picked from our library, which will be returned after a week on library day.

-  Every Wednesday we have Football, so please send your child with football appropriate clothing.

- As it gets sunny after snack please send your child with hats and sunscree

-  Every Thursday is our art day so please send your child with art appropriate clothing.
