Dear Parents,
We hope you had a wonderful week! We've had another fantastic one in the Early Preschool and Preschool class. Please enjoy our weekly blog and take a look at the beautiful moments captured of your children!
Large group
In our large group session, we began the day sitting together in a circle, creating a warm and welcoming space for everyone. We started by greeting our students with a cheerful “Good Morning” and singing our Good Morning song, which sets a positive tone for the day. After the song, we took attendance and then moved on to discuss the days of the week. The students were eager to participate and demonstrated great enthusiasm. We also talked about the weather, and as you all know, it has been a very rainy week. We asked the students what kind of clothes they wear when it rains. Their responses included jackets, boots, gloves, and umbrellas—very thoughtful and observant answers! It was truly a smooth and energetic start to our day. The students were highly engaged and participated actively, making the session both fun and educational.
Small group
Math
This week in our math session, we continued building on the measurement concept we introduced last week. Our focus was on exploring different shapes and understanding the concept of size. We began by discussing various shapes such as circles, triangles, squares, and diamonds. On the board, we drew each shape in different sizes—big and small—to help the students visually compare them. One by one, the students came up and matched each shape with its corresponding size, showing great enthusiasm and understanding. After the group activity, we gave them a worksheet focused on matching big and small shapes. The students completed it confidently and with great accuracy. It was wonderful to see how well they grasped the concept and enjoyed the activity.
Literacy
In our recent literacy session, we had a fantastic time diving into the world of letters using Zoo-Phonics! We explored all the letters from A to Z, learning each one’s unique sound and motion. The students were fully engaged and enthusiastic as they practiced along. After going through the alphabet, each student had the opportunity to pick their favorite letter and proudly demonstrate its sound and motion to the class. It was wonderful to see their confidence and excitement shine through. Overall, it was a joyful and interactive session that helped strengthen our letter recognition and phonics skills. Great job to all the students for their participation and energy!
Art
In this week’s art session, our students worked together to create a beautiful group project called “Our Yellow Book”. Each child chose different crayons and markers to draw their own creative piece on yellow paper. Once their drawings were finished, they took turns coming up to the canvas and carefully glued their artwork using a glue gun. The goal was to arrange the pages to look like a real, open book—and they did an amazing job! It was a wonderful time filled with creativity, teamwork, and fun. The kids were very happy and fully engaged throughout the session!
Water fun
This week, we had an amazing time engaging in a water-filled extravaganza with our students! From water games to refreshing treats, our water fun day was a hit with all the children. The day started with various water activities to beat the heat. The children participated in water balloon toss, sprinkler dance-offs, and even a friendly water gun fight. Laughter and joy filled the air as they splashed around and enjoyed the cool water under the sun.
After all the water play, we gathered together for a special treat – lemonade and watermelon! The children eagerly sat down to enjoy the refreshing drinks and sweet watermelon slices. It was the perfect way to cool down and refuel after a morning of active play. Seeing the children’s smiles and hearing their laughter throughout the day was truly heartwarming. It was a joy to watch them bond with their friends, embrace the summer spirit, and create lasting memories together. It was a fantastic experience for everyone involved, and we can’t wait for more fun-filled days like this in the future.
