Dear Family, First and foremost, we want to extend our deepest gratitude for your unwavering support. Thank you for being there for both our children and us, for reading our blogs, and for helping us guide these incredible children toward becoming the best versions of themselves. We truly couldn’t have done this without your encouragement and guidance. It’s bittersweet to say goodbye to these 11 amazing gems, but we had an unforgettable final week of the school year. We are immensely grateful for each and every one of them and want to congratulate them on how far they've come in their little kindergartner world. As they embark on their next academic journey, we wish them all the best. There's still a week left to share with you, so read on…………
Monday: Color Day!
Our last Monday of the school year was filled with vibrant energy! Our children arrived dressed in a rainbow of colors, sporting shades of white, red, and blue, with some adding their own unique hues. Their school spirit was palpable, and they were ready for a fun-filled day. As usual, we kicked off our morning with a large group gathering, where we talked about the day’s theme and explored the exciting world of colors. We set the date and enjoyed some song breaks in between, keeping the atmosphere lively. For our morning small group activity, we focused on literacy with a fun "sight word coloring" exercise. Our children spotted sight words hidden in pictures and colored them as directed, enhancing their recognition skills while being creative. During work time, we shifted gears to art with our "school tire painting." Our children had a blast painting the tires we use as flower pots near the sandpit, breathing new life and color into them. They absolutely loved getting their hands dirty and adding their artistic flair! In the afternoon, we continued the color theme with a math activity called "coloring by numbers." Our children followed numbered instructions to color an adorable puppy, resulting in some very cute creations. It was a day bursting with colors and creativity.
Tuesday: Pajama Fun!
Our pajama day went wonderfully! Our children arrived in their favorite pajamas, each bringing along their favorite toy. We gathered outside for a group picture before heading back in for our large group activity. In class, we laid out mattresses to help our children learn how to put someone to sleep. They had so much fun giggling and exploring the sleeping process! Afterward, we taught them about cleaning up after themselves, encouraging them to make their beds and fold their blankets every morning. We also enjoyed our snack outside by the infants' area on a mat, making it a lovely picnic. In the afternoon, we completed a worksheet titled “You’re Dreaming of a Magical Place: What Does It Look Like?” Our children wrote and drew about their magical places, sharing their imaginations with one another. It was such a fun day!
Wednesday: Profession/Occupation Day!
The fun just kept getting better each day. For our Occupation Day, the children came dressed in attire representing various professions - from captains and CEOs to reporters, businesspeople, football players, and even neurologists. They all looked fantastic and were on point with their portrayals. During our morning small group session, we held a Job Fair where the children introduced themselves, shared details about their jobs, and explained how they help the community. Their presentations were amazing, and we couldn't be prouder of their hard work and dedication.
Thursday: Movie Day!
Yay! It’s Movie Day, our most anticipated day of the week! Our children were very excited, having talked about it for days and even suggesting their favorite movies to watch together. We transformed the construction center room into a movie theater, creating a cozy atmosphere. We chose and watched the movie "..." and it was an amazing experience. Our children sat comfortably, sharing pillows and space with one another, and they had a memorable time with their friends. After lunch, they drew their favorite parts of the movie and shared why they liked those specific moments with their friends.
Friday: Last/Graduation Day!
Ahh, here we are- the final day. We can’t believe we've finally reached this moment! It feels like just a few months since we were first introduced to the Kindergarten class, and now time together has come to an end. On our very last day together, we shared wholesome moments, reflecting on our journey together. We discussed what we loved, what was fun, what was challenging, and reminisced about the memories we've shared in our Kindergarten world. After snack, we went outside to perform the songs we've been practicing, dancing for our school and actual families. Our children received their certificates and walked their graduation path with pride. Ice cream was a sweet treat, and they took home all the work they've accomplished throughout the year, along with their belongings. It's been an amazing year with these 11 beautiful children, and we wish them all the very best.
We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our incredible and supportive parents. You are truly the best! Your trust in us and your active involvement made all the difference in nurturing these wonderful children. Thank you for being such an amazing partner in this journey. Wishing you all the best as you continue to shine in your beautiful family.
Best,
Kindergarten Team!
