Dear Parents,

We had another wonderful week in our Early Preschool and Preschool class! The children were busy exploring, learning, and having fun through a variety of engaging activities. It's always a joy to see their curiosity grow and their confidence shine each day. Please read on to hear some of our highlights…

Large group

In our large group session, we had a fun and interactive discussion about the weather and the days of the week. The children enjoyed sharing what they observed outside and learning the names and order of the days. After our discussion, we took attendance together and made sure to greet all our friends. We wrapped up the session by singing our cheerful "Good Morning" song — a great way to start the day with smiles and positive energy!

Art

In our recent art session, our students had a fantastic time exploring a fun and creative technique — blow painting! Using their favorite colors, paper, and straws provided by us, each student created a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. The process was simple but exciting. After choosing their paints, the students dropped small amounts onto their paper and used straws to blow the paint in different directions. The results were beautiful, abstract designs — each artwork as unique as the student who made it! It was a joyful and engaging activity. The students were very happy, active, and full of energy throughout the session.

Literacy

In our recent literacy session, our students had a wonderful time learning letters through a fun, hands-on activity using Zoo phonics and pasta! We began the session by discussing the sounds and motions of each Zoo phonics letter. The students loved practicing the animal-themed movements and repeating the letter sounds together. After the group discussion, each child chose their favorite letter and picked their favorite color of pasta. Then, they carefully traced the shape of their chosen letter using the pasta pieces. This sensory activity helped reinforce letter recognition in a creative and enjoyable way. It was a joyful session filled with learning, laughter, and lots of fine motor practice. The students were engaged and proud of the colorful letters they created!

Math

In our latest math session, our students had an exciting and interactive time exploring numbers through a number stamping activity! We started the session by counting together from 1 to 20, followed by a fun and lively counting song that got everyone moving and engaged. After singing, we asked each student to share their favorite number — and they were excited to choose! Next, we prepared paints and wooden number stamps. The students dipped their chosen number stamps into the paint and pressed them onto fresh paper. It was a colorful and creative way to reinforce number recognition and counting skills.
