Infants and Toddlers

Dear parents,

We are excited to present the events for the month of March! Our upcoming events are School beatification, family day and spring break. We plan to renovate and decorate the school compound and the classrooms and counting the days until you all come for family day so you call can do the final touches. On that note, we have made changes on our school calendar and moved the family day to April 2nd so we can be able to have more time to work on school beatification project plans! We can’t wait to have you all and have fun with us for our super family day!

This week we celebrated our friend Abigail’s birthday! Snack time was a little busy than usual as we celebrate her birthday with yummy cake!

School is closed next week for spring break; See you all after the break!

This week…

We sat in circle and sang familiar song like Good Morning, The wheels on the bus, down by the jungle, and Funny face, I like to move it move!

In our book reading time, we read where is the baby’s belly button book, they were so engaged with the book.

This week our small group activity was passing water in the cap, color sorting with cheerios’, exploring with farm animals, feeling texture, and art.

Passing water in the cap; for water passing activity we used the cap and water. We make a big circle with our friends and give them one cap for each and start to put the water on the children. After that we let them put the water from their caps to their friends’ caps. The children were very interested with the activity.

Exploring with Animal; For our science activity this week we explored with farm animals. First, we sang the song Ali baba go to farm song then we gave the children different farm animals like, Sheep, Cow, Horse, and pig.

We talk about what they eat, where they live, after that we give them leaf and grass then they pretend to feed the animal. The children were so interested, they also made the animals' sounds and at the end they were matching the animals with the same species.

Cheerio fun activity; We used cheerios’ and the same colourful caps, the colors we used were Green, Yellow and Red. We let the children explore with colourful cheerios’. After a few minutes we ask them to sort by color and put them on the same cap and the fun part is some of the children were eating the cheerios!

Art; we explored with a variety of colorful paints. We use paper, different color paints and plastic bags. We put paint drops on the paper and we covered it with the plastic bag then we let the children look at it and mixed it up with their hands. So, when the children look at the materials, they were all very excited to explore with the paint and start to touch, move, and try to mix up the paint with their fingers. After all, we really like what the children made, and it is so colourful and looks like a rainbow!

In addition, as part of our School Beatification Project, we also decorated our gardening area by painting the bricks that surround our gardening area.
