Dear parents,

We hope this blog finds you well. In the Infants and Toddlers class, we have had a wonderful and joyful two weeks. Each day, we watched your children grow, explore, and discover new things with so much excitement. It has been a pleasure to see their confidence, curiosity, and independence developing day by day!

Happy Birthday To Lili

Large Group

During our large group time, we begin with our cheerful Hello Song, calling each child’s name one by one. As we wave and say “good morning”, the children feel welcomed and excited to start the day. Next, we give the children the opportunity to choose a song. This week, they happily selected “The Wheels on the Bus” and “Five Little Monkeys”. We sang together, and the children were very joyful and enthusiastic, joining in with the actions and movements.

After singing, we move on to attendance time. Each child picks up their picture and places it on the happy face, showing confidence and recognition. We then count together from one to fifteen, and the children participate with big smiles and excitement. In the middle of our session, we often play a free dance song. The children love this moment moving, dancing, and expressing themselves freely.

Gymnastics

During our gymnastics session, we began by taking the mat outside and inviting the children to sit around it. We first explained and demonstrated how to roll safely on the mat so they could see the movement step by step. After the demonstration, the children took turns rolling on the mat one at a time. They were very excited and eager to try the activity. Each child showed enthusiasm, confidence, and joy as they practiced their rolling skills. The session was filled with smiles, laughter, and energetic movement, making it a fun and active part of our week!

Language and Literacy

In our literacy session, we prepared a fun tracing activity by placing tape on the table in different patterns such as straight lines and zigzags. We provided small trucks for the children, and they took turns tracing and following the lines with their trucks. The children were very excited as they guided their trucks along the tape paths, practicing early pre-writing and fine motor skills. They also enjoyed choosing their favorite colors of tape, which made the activity even more engaging for them. The session was full of focus, exploration, and happy voices as the children practiced following lines while learning through play.

Art

During our art session in the first week, the children explored a fun and creative line painting activity. We placed a large white canvas on the table and provided different bright paint colors. The children dipped a flat cardboard piece into the paint and gently dragged it across the canvas to create long, colorful lines. They were very excited as they watched the colors spread and overlap, forming beautiful crisscross patterns. This activity helped them practice hand control, explore color mixing, and express their creativity freely. The children enjoyed choosing their favorite colors and repeating the movements until the canvas was covered with vibrant lines.

During our art session in the second week, the children explored a fun and creative tape painting activity. We began by placing tape across the canvas to create lines and different shapes. After the tape was set, the children used paintbrushes and sponge brushes to freely paint over the entire canvas using bright colors. They enjoyed making big strokes, mixing colors, and watching the paint spread across the taped sections. Once the painting was finished and the tape was removed, the children were amazed to see the beautiful white lines and geometric shapes left behind. This activity supported creativity, hand movement, color exploration, and surprise learning. The children were very excited throughout the process and proud of their final artwork!

Science

During our science session, we explored a fun listening and sound discovery activity. At the beginning of the session, we explained the activity clearly to the children and discussed how we can use our ears to listen carefully and follow sounds. We then hid a speaker somewhere inside the classroom and played music. The children used their listening skills to follow the sound and search for the hidden speaker. They moved around the classroom with excitement, trying to locate where the sound was coming from.

Math

In math, we explored a fun and engaging color sorting activity. We placed different classroom materials outside in a variety of colors, including blue, yellow, red, and green. We also prepared matching colorful baskets for each color. The children were then invited to explore the materials by finding and collecting items of the same color. They enjoyed searching around the space, sorting the objects, and placing them into the correct colored baskets.
