Dear Parents,

We’re excited to share a glimpse of what your little ones have been learning and enjoying this week! Take a moment to see the fun, growth, and discoveries happening in our classroom.

Large group

During our large group session today, we gathered in a circle to start the day together. We began by asking each student about their morning and what they had for breakfast. It was a great way to help everyone feel seen and heard. Next, we had a fun discussion about the weather and reviewed the days of the week, helping to build our students’ understanding of time and daily routines. We then took attendance, making sure everyone was present and ready to learn. It was a warm and welcoming start to the day, setting the tone for a smooth transition into our small group activities.

Art

In our recent art session, our students had a wonderful time exploring their creativity. Each child picked up paper and crayons, ready to express their imagination. They drew things they love the most—ranging from favorite animals to colorful scenes from nature. It was a joy to watch them so engaged, turning simple materials into beautiful works of art. The room was filled with laughter, colors, and creativity. Every drawing reflected the unique ideas and feelings of its young artist. It truly was a great time, and we’re so proud of the amazing art pieces they created!

Cooperative game

This week, one of our students, Neela, had a wonderful idea—she wanted to make playdough and take it home. We shared her idea with the whole class during our large group time, and all the children got very excited to join in! We went outside, and the students started by mixing flour with water and adding a little bit of oil. They used their hands to knead and mix everything together. It was a joyful and messy experience that everyone loved! As they played, the children decided to take it one step further. They wanted to add color to the dough, so we brought out red and yellow food coloring. Watching the colors mix into the dough was so exciting for them! It was a wonderful cooperative activity where everyone worked together, shared ideas, and had so much fun. We're so proud of Neela for inspiring such a creative and hands-on learning moment!

Math

This week in our math session, we brought numbers to life with a lively game of Number Hopscotch! We began by counting from 1 to 10 together, ensuring everyone was familiar with the sequence. Then, we laid number cards on the floor, creating a hopscotch grid. Each student eagerly selected a number, hopped to it, and joyfully jumped back. The activity not only made learning numbers exciting but also enhanced coordination and number recognition. The students had a blast, and it was a delightful way to combine learning with play!

Literacy

In this week’s literacy session, our students worked on a fun and engaging worksheet focused on the letters E and F. Each child got to trace and color the letters, helping them improve their letter recognition and fine motor skills. It was a lively and creative activity! The students were excited to choose their favorite crayons and express themselves through colors while learning. We loved seeing their enthusiasm and focus throughout the session.

Gymnastics

This week’s gymnastics session was packed with energy, excitement, and lots of smiles! We kicked things off with a warm-up jog, followed by some full-body stretches to get everyone ready for the day’s activities. After warming up, our students jumped straight into action with forward flipping practice. Each student took turns showing off their moves, and it was amazing to see their progress and confidence grow! To wrap up the session, we played a fun game where students had to throw plastic balls into a basket. Everyone cheered each other on as they took turns, and the activity brought lots of laughter and joy to the class.

Science

Our recent science session was extra special – we made pancakes with our students! After visiting the café center and pretending to make cakes, pizzas, and pancakes, the children decided they wanted to try making real pancakes together. We began by discussing the ingredients and the steps needed to make the pancake batter. The students were so excited! Wearing their little chef hats and aprons, they took turns helping prepare the dough. With the help of our assistant, we cooked the pancakes while the students watched and waited eagerly. Once the pancakes were ready, we all sat together and enjoyed them as a team. It was a fun and delicious learning experience! Through this activity, the students explored science concepts like mixing and changes in matter. They also practiced teamwork, fine motor skills, and improved their focus. Everyone had a fantastic time and learned so much!
