Amazing Week in Our Early Pre School and Pre School

We had great week filled with lots of fun in our early preschool and preschool. We hope yours was great as well!!

Large Group:

our large group consisted of lots of fun, we sang different songs and danced freely and then we went back to our message board, where we took attendance, discussed the weather, days of the week, and explored Zoo phonics from s to v. We also talked about different fruits and vegetables and read a book called "What do animals say??".

Small Group:

Music

We were very active during the music session. Our students took turns choosing their favorite song, then we sang together and then we had a great time exploring different musical instruments.

Math

In our math session we talked about different shapes like circle, triangle, square, rectangle, star, and pentagon then we counted how many sides each shape has, we had a good time.

Library

Our library session was amazing. We read a book about water animals and then we asked them what lives in the ocean, and they surprisingly answered fish, starfish, octopus, whale, shark, dolphin, honey horse. We also talked about the color of each of them and they answered more than we expected. We had a very enjoyable time. Then they chose a book to take home to read with their families.

Science

During our science session, we completed the project we initiated two weeks ago. Last week, they crafted the cardboard, water, and glued mixture into different kitchen wares and placed the resulting plates, cups, and pots in the sunlight. This week, they painted these items with various colors of paint and added glitter to enhance their shine.

Art

In our art session we continued working on our canvas. They cut different colored yarns into small pieces with scissors. Then they glued the thread to the canvas while painting it. They did a wonderful job.

Literacy

In our literacy session we did zoo phonics letters from 'a-m' with their names, sounds and actions. Then, they chose their favorite letter and traced it with playdough.
