Blog For Infant and Toddlers

Greeting Dear Parents,

Dear parents, welcome back from Christmas break. We hope you had a good time with your kids and enjoyed your vacation. On our side, this week it was nice taking in our children as we missed them throughout the break time. Some kids were really calm, which was so nice to observe, however, for some of our friends it was really challenging to be in class after their extended break time. We also welcomed two new friends!

What we did for Large Group

We had an amazing large group. We discussed about their mornings. We sang different songs like; Good morning, five little monkey, the wheels on the bus, baby shark song. We also tried to remind them our magic words like when they need something how they ask, after they take a toy form their friends what they can say, please and thank you. We read a ‘Clifford family’ book and we worked on our attendance.

What we did for Small Group

Music; on our music and movement time, we wanted to relax our mind and body through dancing, moving, jumping and by singing along our favorite songs. From all the fun we had, we enjoyed the freeze and move song.

Counting; first we read a number book, then we sang a number song, then we gave them bears, number board and blocks. Then we let them to count and explore. Some of the children counted by themselves and some of them needed an assistance, but couldn’t really focus and finish the activity.

Literacy; for this week we had hunting letters in a container filled with rice, this activity was very fun and learning the children were very excited! they found 3D letters and told us by saying out loud the letters they found “a, b, c, d, f, e”. We will continue this activity for the next two weeks.

Gymnastic; our gymnastic were participatory for all, they had different types of exercises like, jumping like frog, run faster, crawling like a snake, sit and walk and knee walk the children were very interested.

Special Days

· Tuesday – Art

· Wednesday – Library

Reminders

· Every Tuesdays, we have art so please send your child with an art appropriate clothing.

· Every Wednesday it’s our Library day, so we will be sending a folder with a book your child picked from our library, which will be returned after a week on library day.

· As it gets sunny after snack time please send your child a hat and a sunscreen!
