One Whole Semester!

Times flies by quick! One whole semester is finished.

Reflecting on the conclusion of our first semester, we engaged in discussions about the journey we've taken together. We celebrated the growth we've witnessed, not just in terms of physical development but also in emotional and developmental aspects. We shared our appreciation for the friendships that have blossomed during this time, acknowledging the support and joy that our friends bring into our lives.

We took the opportunity to express gratitude for the progress each child has made, both individually and collectively as a group. There were conversations about the various milestones achieved, from the development of new skills to the deepening of friendships. Overall, it was a heartwarming reflection on our collective growth and the wonderful experiences we've shared in our time together. We also talked of those children who will be moving to the upper class and that we will miss them. and alos taht we will be welcoming new friends from the lower class.

In our large group session this week, we've explored several important concepts. We discussed the importance of feeling happy when coming to school, emphasizing that it's a place to gain new knowledge, be with friends, and engage in joyful activities. We delved into the theme of friendship, sharing ideas on how to be good friends and how to play together. The children actively participated by expressing their thoughts.

Moreover, our routine included singing the "Good Morning" song and their favorite tune, "The More We Get Together," followed by taking attendance, exploring the days of the week, and enjoying storytime with various books. The children were highly engaged and enthusiastic throughout these activities.

Small Group

Art

During our art session, the children engaged in a creative activity that involved using animal-shaped stencils. They placed these stencils onto sheets of paper and traced around the shapes with pencils. Afterward, they applied glue within the outlines they had drawn. The next step was to sprinkle various colored rice onto the glue, creating a textured and colorful representation of the animals.

Throughout the activity, the children were attentive and focused on their work. The tactile experience of using the stencils, drawing, applying glue, and sprinkling rice allowed them to explore different textures and express their creativity.

Journal

During our journal time this week, the children received their journal books along with their favorite colors. They were absolutely thrilled to start working on their journals! With great enthusiasm, they began drawing pictures of their favorite things. What made this time special was when we asked them about their drawings; they eagerly shared stories and explanations about their creations. It was wonderful to see their excitement and hear the stories behind their drawings.

Gymnastics

In our gymnastics class, we kick things off with stretching and light jogging to warm up our bodies. Then, we dive into various activities, including exercises that involve widening our stances and practicing standing on our heads. It's a comprehensive session that combines warm-up exercises with more challenging activities to improve our skills and flexibility.

Science

In our science session, the children had an exciting experiment mixing shaving foam with their preferred food colors to create new ones. They were thrilled with the process, although it did get quite messy. Despite some of the foam getting on their clothes, they were delighted with the activity and the vibrant colors they produced.
