Dear Parents, Welcome to another exciting week in our classroom! Our students enjoyed a variety of activities filled with learning, creativity, and exploration. We are happy to share some of the wonderful moments and discoveries from our week!

Large Group

We began our large group time by greeting one another, sharing about our morning, and singing our Good Morning song. We checked who was present and absent, reviewed the days of the week and months of the year, and enjoyed reading If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. We also revisited our Zoo phonics letters, counted from 1 to 20, and reviewed familiar shapes. This week, we introduced a new 3D shape, the cone, and explored its features.

Small group

Math

During our first math session, our students explored numbers from 1 to 10. They randomly selected number cards and drew pictures beside their chosen numbers. Their drawings included stars, circles, flowers, and different shapes, combining number recognition with creativity.

In our next session, we enjoyed an exciting Ice Number Experiment. Our students placed number in small cups of water and froze them. Later, we explored the frozen numbers and identified each number they discovered, making number recognition a fun hands-on experience.

Literacy

During literacy session, we explored storytelling using picture flashcards. Our Students selected cards and worked on identifying what happened first and what came next, helping them develop sequencing skills and understand the order of events in a story. In our next session, our students reflected on what they learned by drawing pictures in their journals.

Science

During our science session, we explored healthy and unhealthy food choices, discussing which foods help our bodies grow and stay strong and which foods we enjoy occasionally.

On Our next session our students enjoyed a fruit and vegetable tasting activity, where they explored different foods using their senses. They observed the colors, textures, smells, and tastes of the foods, sharing their discoveries along the way.

Art

During our art session, our students chose their favorite fruits and vegetables and drew them on paper. They enjoyed expressing their creativity while observing the shapes, colors, and details of their favorite foods.

Gymnastics

During gymnastics, our students participated in a fun ball-transfer activity. We placed one box near their feet and another near their heads. While lying down, they picked up a ball from the box near their feet and transferred it into the box near their heads. This activity helped strengthen their coordination, body awareness, and motor skills while encouraging focus and movement.
