Dear parents,

We hope this blog finds you well! This week, our classroom was filled with exciting and meaningful activities that supported our students’ growth in communication, creativity, and hands-on learning. Through group discussions, literacy exploration, and art experiences, the children were actively engaged, building confidence, developing fine motor skills, and expressing their ideas in wonderful ways. We are proud to see their progress and enthusiasm in every activity.

Large Group

Our large group time was truly wonderful and full of meaningful learning moments. The students are becoming more confident and comfortable expressing themselves, which is amazing to see. They are now using full sentences to share their daily routines, saying things like “I brush my teeth,” “I wash my face,” and “I come to school by car”. It’s such a big step in their communication development, and we are so proud of their progress.

During attendance time, the children were actively involved by noticing who was missing and calling out their friends’ names. This helped them feel more connected and aware of their classroom community.

We also had a fun and engaging discussion about animals. The students shared what we get from animals and enjoyed making different animal sounds together. We read a book related to animals, which made the discussion even more exciting and interactive.

In addition, we talked about the weather and observed how it is changing. The students are now able to describe whether it is sunny or cloudy and even suggest what to wear, like a jacket when it’s cold. It’s wonderful to see them applying this knowledge even during outdoor time, pointing out the weather and responding to it.

To make our session even more lively, we sang songs related to animals and practiced counting numbers from 1 to 15 together. Overall, it was a very engaging and productive large group time, and we are so happy to see the students growing in confidence, communication, and understanding every day.

Literacy

Our literacy activity was both exciting and full of sensory exploration! The children were engaged in an ice activity where they used spoons to scoop and move ice cubes in a cup. This simple activity became very meaningful as the students observed how the ice slowly changed and melted. They were very curious and eager to explore, touching the ice with their hands, feeling its cold temperature, and noticing how it transformed over time.

It was wonderful to see how focused they were throughout the activity. Many of the students stayed engaged for a longer period, showing great concentration and patience. This is a big improvement, and we are really happy to see their growing ability to focus during hands-on learning experiences. At the same time, they were developing their fine motor skills by holding and controlling the spoon, scooping carefully, and transferring the ice into the cups.

The activity also encouraged language development, as students described what they were feeling and seeing, such as “cold,” “melting,” and “water”. It created a great opportunity for discussion and observation.

For our next step, we are excited to extend this activity by adding colors. The children will paint the ice and explore color changes, which will make the experience even more engaging. We also plan to include a sorting activity using colored ice, helping them practice color recognition while continuing to strengthen their fine motor skills.

Gymnastics

Our gymnastics activity was full of energy and excitement as the children participated in a fun racing game. We introduced the concept of “ready, steady, go,” and the students quickly understood and followed the instructions with enthusiasm. They lined up, waited for their turn, and ran with joy and confidence when it was time to start.

It was wonderful to see how much fun they were having while staying engaged and active. The children showed great effort, and many of them were eager to try again, which made the activity even more enjoyable.

This activity played an important role in developing their gross motor skills, as they practiced running, balancing, and coordinating their movements. It also supported their listening skills and ability to follow simple instructions. We were glad to see the students enjoying themselves while learning and growing.

Art

Our art activity was truly amazing and very engaging for the students. We organized the class by dividing them into two groups, which helped us manage the activity smoothly and give more attention to each child. We set up a table for the activity, and each student was given a large sheet of paper, along with smaller pieces of paper and glue.

The children were excited to begin. They carefully applied glue and stuck the small pieces of paper onto their main paper, creating their own unique artwork. It was wonderful to see how focused and involved they were throughout the process. They clearly understood the activity and followed the steps with confidence.

The students stayed busy and engaged, showing creativity in how they placed their paper pieces. Many of them were proud of their work and were happy to show us their finished art. We also took pictures of their creations, which made them feel even more proud and motivated.

This activity supported the development of their fine motor skills, especially as they practiced using glue and placing small pieces of paper carefully. It also encouraged creativity, independence, and confidence. Overall, it was a very successful and enjoyable art activity, and we are so pleased with how well the students participated.
